The Mardi Gras Ball has always been the signature fund raising event of St. Rose and its Health Foundation. This year, we will celebrate the Children’s Miracle Mardi Gras Ball which will benefit the Pediatric Centers at St. Rose and hope to expand services to provide the best possible care to our pediatric patients and their families. Since 1947, St. Rose has been caring for children. The compassion of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, who cradled in their arms the first children born at the hospital, still resounds today throughout the comprehensive pediatric services we offer at our three St. Rose hospitals. We care for over 25,000 children each year through our Inpatient Units, Pediatric Emergency Room, Surgical Services, and our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. To help meet the growing demand for state-of-the-art pediatric services in our community, our goal is to expand pediatric specialties such as cardiology and diabetes; enhance pediatric services such as child life (helping families deal with the interruption in a child’s normal routine while in the hospital) and community outreach and wellness programs; and to provide resources for state-of-the-art surgical areas, emergency care and equipment. Through your sponsorship and support – we want to make sure that children and their families can get the highest quality of care – close to home!
