St. Rose Dominican Hospitals will host its 56th Annual Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at The Mirage. This prestigious event is the oldest fundraising gala in southern Nevada and is an integral part of the history and growth of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. Our theme "Be Retro, Be a Kid Again" celebrates the hospital's commitment to providing compassionate, quality pediatric healthcare. Along with state-of-the-art technology and highly trained physicians and caregivers, St. Rose truly provides the most advanced care in southern Nevada.
The birth of a baby is a wonderful and complex process. Unfortunately, one in every 10 babies born in the U.S. is admitted to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) because of premature birth or another medical condition. Having a baby hospitalized in a NICU, can be frightening, confusing and overwhelming for parents but at St. Rose, we not only provide state of the art care but also compassionate care to the smallest of babies and their families at our two Neonatal Intensive Care Units in the Las Vegas Valley - a 15-bassinet Level III unit at the Siena campus and a 6-bassinet Level II unit at the San Martin campus.
The demand for NICU beds at St. Rose is very high. Both units operate at capacity, limiting the number of high-risk deliveries that can be performed at St. Rose. A 10-bed, Level II expansion is planned for the Siena campus, which would allow families to receive services close to home. To help meet the growing demand for our pediatric and NICU services, St. Rose needs your help.
Please consider partnering with St. Rose in raising funds to expand our services and help the tiniest of babies have a fighting chance to survive and live happy and healthy lives by being a sponsor of the 56th Annual Mardi Gras Ball. With your support, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals can continue to help heal the mind, body and spirit of each and every patient.
There are numerous ways to support the St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation. Please call to find out how your gift - big or small - can benefit our ongoing mission of quality, compassionate healthcare.
